Using HTML

Using HTMLHTML is a code version of a building block. It is what helps build and hold together most pages on the internet. HTML actually stands for HyperText Mark-up Language. Still sounds complicated, right? Well you’ll be pleased to know it isn’t as complicated as it sounds.

HTML is a form of tagging; a way of marking documents that are put onto the internet so that your web-browser will know how to display them. The mark-ups are made to documents with HTML elements called tags; these are placed in pairs, one at the start and one at the end, on documents uploaded to the internet.

These pairs consist of a start tag and end tag surrounded by angle brackets to mark the type of document, where it starts and where it ends. They will look something like for the start and for the end. If you are still unclear, maybe a course in HTML could be good for you.
